Through athletic programs at St. Jerome, students can enhance and develop a Christian attitude toward cooperation and competition. Athletes are provided an opportunity to develop physically, mentally, and emotionally. The athletic program is intended to enhance and complement our education program. Participation in athletics, both as a player or a student spectator, is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the parish, school, team, and to the student. Therefore, effort, academic progress, and student behavior are qualifications for participation in any St. Jerome athletic program. St. Jerome School is a member of the Madison Area Independent Sports League.

PARTICIPATION POLICY
It is the policy of St. Jerome School that any student receiving a detention will be suspended from all sports/extra curricular activities for a period of 1-2 weeks, depending upon the situation. The principal makes the final decision regarding the duration of the suspension. Students will also be suspended for academic concerns. Any student failing one or more classes at any time, will be suspended until they can demonstrate a passing grade (a minimum of 2 weeks). Students who are absent during the day may not practice or play in a game on the same day. Questions regarding the athletic program should first be brought to the athletic director and then the principal.
